WELCOME

In my years as a photographer I learned to take pretty pictures. Colourful, sharp and smooth, they found their way into calendars and greeting cards.

Having moved to Aberdeen in 2002, I soon began to realise that Scotland demanded far more than "pretty". Hence, a new vision was born.

Photographs that stand outside time.
Photographs where colour does not distract from the essence.
Photographs that are as gritty as Scotland's rocks.
Photographs that are as misty as our own eyes.
Photographs that stand still.

This journey took several years and required endless hours of work. Now, however, I am delighted to share over sixty images that made up my vision of Scotland.

P.S. I was eventually persuaded to include a small selection of colour photography, as well as some pictures of Israel.
